Tourism and Hospitality Support Program

The Tourism and Hospitality Support Program is a short-term program offered by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and delivered by Department of Industry, Energy and Technology to assist eligible tourism and hospitality based operators impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic during October 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022.

Eligible applicants will be eligible for a minimum contribution of $2,500 or a contribution calculated at ten per cent of total loss of sales/income from October 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022, up to a maximum of $15,000, per enterprise based on a comparison with October 2019 to February 2020.

Before You Begin

Prior to beginning this application process, please ensure you have the following information and documentation available, as the system will not allow you to save an incomplete application.
Should you need to exit the system for any reason prior to submitting your application, when you return you will need to start your application again from the beginning.

What Do I Need?

To complete the application, the following information is required:

Application information including key contact information, name of business, address, phone number, email address, website address, etc.
Business information including type of business (corporation or sole proprietor/partnership), how long in operation, CRA number (if applicable), brief description and main services.
Details regarding a reasonable plan to continue operations in 2022, including a short description of such things as reopening dates, efforts to meet public health guidelines, and any other information that is relevant for the applicant to operate in 2022.

To complete the application, the following documentation is required:

Void Cheque or Direct Deposit Form.
Government-issued identification
- Please provide a picture of a government-issued identification for the key contact. The key contact must be a senior representative of the organization (e.g. owner, manager, controller, CEO, director, VP, etc.).
Please submit the following:
- Income and expense statements for the period October 1, 2019 to February 28, 2020 (or if the business was not operating in that time period, income and expense statements for October 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021).
- Income and expense statements for October 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 and forecasted sales for January 1, 2022 to February 28, 2022. If you have actual gross sales for January and/or February you may attach with your application.
- Please note that income and expense statements must be provided for the specific timeframe requested versus annual statements.
