By registering with Immigration Accelerator, you agree to the terms of use below. If you choose not to accept the Terms of Use, you won't be able to successfully login.
Immigration Accelerator allows users to manage their personal profile and employer account (as applicable) as well as interact with programs and services offered by the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism through a portal. This includes programs for candidates wishing to come to Newfoundland and Labrador and programs targeting employer participation including but not limited to the Atlantic Immigration Program.
This explanation will help you understand what information we collect, how we use it and what choices you have about it.
We collect and store information about you and (as applicable) the company you represent when your account is created.
When your Immigration Accelerator system account, certain information is shared with us, including your name, phone and email address. If applicable, company details are also shared including but not limited to name, email address, phone number and physical address.
If you continue on to participate in an OIM program, the information required to operate that program effectively is also collected. Depending on the program, information may come directly from you or from a representative of your employer.
We collect your information so that we can set up your Immigration Accelerator account and manage your contact information. As you link to programs, we use this information to provision the program you are participating in.
We collect your information to be able to send you personalized and relevant notifications regarding OIM programs. We may also use your personal information to help support and manage your account. Your account/ login information may also be used to digitally verify forms and documents requiring your authorization.
We may also send you messages and other information from time to time related to OIM services.
You can update your personal profile information and if applicable company account information, and reset the password that you use for signing in. This can be updated by visiting your profile or (as applicable) on the organization's profile page.
Information you provide through Immigration Accelerator is shared with the relevant government department(s) that work to provide OIM services both provincially and federally and is consistent with Government of Newfoundland and Labrador information management policies.
Program-specific information is kept for as long as that program requires it.
It is important that you keep your Immigration Accelerator account up-to-date with the latest and most relevant information so that we can provide you with the best service.
You can inactivate your Immigration Accelerator account by contacting the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism at immigration@gov.nl.ca.
Information relating to your account and OIM services/programs is not deleted if you inactivate your Immigration Accelerator system account. This remains stored with the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism and adheres to information management policies.
You can revoke your consent to collect, use and share your personal information for your Immigration Accelerator system account at any time by inactivating your account through the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism. If you revoke your consent, you will not be able to access your Immigration Accelerator system account and the connected online services until your account has been reactivated and you have chosen to agree to the terms and conditions.
The information we collect about you is collected under the authority of section 61(c) of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 2015.
Under ATIPPA, 2015 personal information is protected in accordance with section 64.(1); you have the right to access your personal information protected in accordance with section 8.(1); and you have the right to request the correction of your personal information protected in accordance with section 10.(1) if there has been an error or omission. You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time by contacting the OIM.
Any information provided to the OIM will be disclosed only in accordance with ATIPPA, 2015.
